Light room
Light Room is a visual installation that explores the perception of depth within a flat architectural surface. Through a sequence of evolving light patterns and spatial illusions, the wall gradually transforms into a three-dimensional environment.
The experience begins by subtly guiding the viewer’s perception, training the eye to recognize depth where none physically exists. As the visuals unfold, the illusion intensifies until a moment of visual rupture appears, creating the sensation of breaking through the surface and revealing a new spatial dimension.
As the experience unfolds, the illusion gradually solidifies, convincing the audience that the perceived space is truly three-dimensional. The entire sequence evolves in synchrony with live music, reinforcing the immersive atmosphere of the environment.
During the performance, the visuals are continuously layered with overlays and visual effects, transforming the constructed space into a fluid structure that appears to melt and dissolve before the viewer’s eyes.
The piece is projected onto a 14-meter-wide wall, carefully adapted to the architectural features, including windows and surrounding space, to create the most immersive experience for the audience.
